Dr Jane Goodall 2019 “Rewriting the Future” AU Tour

Dr. Jane Goodall doesn’t really need an introduction, being an incredible primatologist and anthropologist as well an incredible champion for conservation.
THE BRIEF: Art direct, design and animate Dr Jane Goodall’s 2019 Australian tour, named “Rewriting the Future”. Try and reference her accolades and impact on conservation worldwide.
THE EXECUTION: First and foremost I wanted the tour to have a very earthy feel – as the essence of her work is grounded in nature. Furthermore, I wanted her connection to chimpanzees to be outlined and celebrated. The master artwork uses an iconic National Geographic photo of Jane reaching out to an infant chimpanzee. Coupled with a composition of leaves in the shape of a forward arrow – the artwork hopes to convey that there is a way forward for humans if we reconnect with nature.
With her tour trailer (left), I wanted to pay homage to her most iconic achievements and moments throughout history, by referencing her groundbreaking work with chimpanzees and National Geographic – using a camera shutter and various audio clips gleaned from past interviews.
